Project Overview

Bug Bites is a brand focused on changing the stigma surrounding edible insects, targeting athletes and health-conscious individuals mindful of their protein intake. Through witty branding and emphasis on nutritional benefits like high protein content and a favorable protein to fat ratio sourced from edible insects, the brand aims to convince athletes to incorporate them into their diets. 

Design Goals

The project aims to understand why consumers are averse to edible insects and devise innovative strategies to address these concerns, thereby enhancing the acceptability of alternative proteins in the mainstream market. Through creative packaging designs and effective communication, the project seeks to challenge existing perceptions and highlight the nutritional benefits and sustainability of edible insects, bridging the gap between consumer preferences and the potential of alternative protein sources.
